Our gallery

Our reference photos show the Jack slope mower in a wide variety of deployments: from embankment maintenance along roads and motorways to solar park open-space maintenance and steep slope mowing in agriculture. Each project demonstrates the versatility and performance of our remote-controlled mowing technology on areas with gradients of up to 100% (45°).

Experience the Jack slope mower in action. Our videos show real customer operations on extreme steep slopes, embankments and hard-to-reach terrain. See for yourself how our remote-controlled mowing robot handles even the most demanding areas safely and efficiently.

Real-World Case Studies

Four typical projects showing how the Jack mowing crawler (tracked mower) is used in Styria and beyond.

Embankment Maintenance Along Traffic Routes

Location: Styria, along state and federal roads.
Challenge: Steep embankments up to 70% gradient, narrow shoulders, ongoing traffic. Manual work with brush cutters is time-consuming and requires multiple workers.
Result: With the remote-controlled Jack Mulcher, the entire embankment is operated from the roadside. One operator replaces a team of two to three workers, deployment time is reduced by up to 60%, and the risk of accidents drops significantly.

Slope Maintenance in Viticulture

Location: South Styrian Wine Country, locations around Gamlitz and Leutschach.
Challenge: Vine rows on slopes with up to 80% gradient, narrow lanes between the rows, soil protection is critical.
Result: The Jack Schlegel with Y-blades maintains ground cover and inter-row areas without workers standing on the slope. Compact design (136 cm width) and chain drive allow safe operation even in wet conditions – plannable year-round instead of weather-dependent.

Green Area Maintenance on Solar Parks

Location: Photovoltaic installations in Burgenland and Lower Austria.
Challenge: Large-scale green maintenance under and between elevated modules, narrow row spacing, no stone throw towards modules allowed.
Result: The Jack Mulcher drives under the module rows, the mulching deck and low profile (76 cm height) reach areas that a tractor cannot access. An area of 10,000 m² is mowed in about 2.5 hours – instead of half a day manually.

Alpine Farming & Pasture Maintenance

Location: Alpine pastures in the Upper and Western Styrian highlands.
Challenge: Swaths, bracken fern and dwarf shrubs on remote alpine pastures with 50–100% gradient that must be regularly pushed back to preserve grazing land.
Result: The Jack Schlegel is transported to the alpine pasture by trailer and operated from a safe distance. With an output of 4,000 m²/h, even large alpine areas are mechanically maintained in one working day – the basis for AMA area subsidies and preservation of the cultural landscape.
